The yellow fever vaccine is required for all travelers entering Ghana. Depending on itinerary and risk factors, health care providers may recommend other vaccines to protect against certain diseases including hepatitis A, typhoid, hepatitis B, and meningococcal meningitis. See your health care professional at least one month prior to departure to obtain necessary vaccinations and medications.
Kotoka International Airport (KIA) in Accra is the major entry point into Ghana. Many major airlines fly to Ghana including Delta and United (direct from the U.S.), British Airways, KLM, Lufthansa, Emirates, South African Airways, Virgin Nigeria, Ghana International Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic.
